Carve out a Fall Tradition

This is, quite possibly, our favorite season. Hands down. What’s not to love? Football season is in full swing, the fashionistas are wearing knee-high boots, and the farmer’s market is stocked with gourds. (Where do all these gourds hang out the rest of the year?)

Block off Some Bandit Time

There’s change in the air, we can feel it. We’re not in full-blown fall mode yet, but summer is gone (and so is the beach rental that made it so memorable). We’re starting to feel that hint of crisp air, and it’s calling us to get outside. It’s block party season!

Celebrations Galore!

Well I couldn't have asked for a better way to celebrate my birth-month. That’s what we call it in my family because we milk our birthday for all its worth. Days, weeks, months, we would go all year if we could.

Shine on, Bandit Lovers

The summer solstice is upon us, and for the first time in nearly 70 years, the longest day of the year coincides with June’s full moon. When the sun sets on the first official day of summer, the Strawberry Moon—so-called for the fruit that hits peak ripeness this month—will shine brightly. Optimal viewing for this rare celestial event is at nightfall on Monday, June 20.

Norway's National Day

About a week ago on the 17th of May, Norway celebrated their National Day. In 1814 their constitution, called Stortinget, was signed in Oslo, and Norway was officially deemed their own independent country. Fast forward 202 years later and here I am living in Oslo, able to celebrate my first 17th of May in my new city!
